New location

The Society of St Vincent de Paul of Philadelphia has moved to its new location in Montgomery County, 3004 Keenwood Road, East Norriton Township, just off West Germantown Pike. We are exploring better ways to help those in need in the five-county Philadelphia area. We ask for your prayers as we embark on this new venture.

SVDP Mural 2012

For the past three summers, ten high school students from Brooklyn and several faculty members have been volunteering their time in the Philadelphia area.  The student group stays at the St. Vincent de Paul Young Adult Center in Germantown under the guidance and direction of Sister Pat Evanick DC and Father Bill Allegreto CM, who coordinate several different service or outreach project in the community.

This year one of the projects was to paint a mural on the main entrance of the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store onLuzerne Avenue.  The students, who attend St. Edmund Prep HS worked with art teacher, Phil Fama to create an abstract mural which was designed to bring color and life to an otherwise industrial looking building.

Collaborating on this project were:  Jessica Caiazzo, Olivia DiGiulio, Amanda Hernandez, Eileen Makak, Jessica Pinto, Alex Samosiuk, Mica Severe and faculty member Marie Geraci.
